  1. It looks like the definition is you get a “win” if you hold your block for 2.5+ seconds. In a world where the QB’s average time to throw is 3.3 seconds, OK, you can end up with a lot of pressures after you “win” your block. But come on, we’re not *by far* the best pass protection unit in the league

  2. ESPN’s pass block win rate has always thrown out weird results. I have no idea how it’s calculated

  3. The line has been good but it can be better. But what’s clear to me is that Fields *needs* to be better. He gets the year, maybe two if he shows growth, so I’m not going to jump down his throat.

But he *needs* to be better. No excuses. Show something consistently. I am a big fan of Fields. I am rooting for him. But the worst thing you can do is stick with a QB that ain’t it.

  4. They’re doing a lot to protect them.

I think the line is average, which is a huge deal. The tackles in pass pro are the only really sore spot (besides musti but we’ll y’know). And they’re struggling a lot, but this is a hellllll of a lot better than I expected

ESPN definitely has this wrong but it is still emblematic they’re doing a lot better than expected. Also sample size is obviously lower
