If I recall correctly, when he initially had surgery, they expected him to be out at least the first 4 weeks of the season. It was unexpected for him to return to practice as soon as he did. So him not being in the game day lineups at this point aligns with what was expected.
My only assumption is he’s not fully learned his new spot in MLB of cover 3.
I’ll add this, from all accounts he’s ready to be out there and wants to play. Coaches are not suiting him up for a reason we don’t know.
I wonder if he needs more time to build up strength. They can better control what happens in practice than in a game.
