  1. Godspeed. I know the team/coaches love him and I’m sure soon we will too. Given he’s the future once poyer/micah are done I think it’s good that he gets playing time and builds his craft

  2. I just watched his highlights and wow, I forgot how good he is. I can’t believe he’s not a starter on a team already. He’s definitely a dangerous weapon to have

  3. I’m so happy to see someone else crack the lineup. This kid is going to make it hard for Hyde to come back I promise!🤞💪❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙😎

  4. Our defense is STACKED. So is our offense, for that matter. At the start of the season we said you could split our roster into two teams that would both be better than, say, the Patriots. I still think that was true.

Of course losing star starters hurts, but I really think we’re going to be fine. Perhaps not undefeated, but whatever. I’m more sad that Micah has to miss out on this run than anything else.

  5. I’ve seen fans throw out so many goofy suggestions to replace Hyde including converting Dane Jackson to safety, signing a player like Landon Collins off the street, or trading a 1st round pick as a replacement…these are all terrible ideas.

Hyde is irreplaceable. Any other player they get to fill his shoes is going to be some degrees of a downgrade. That’s a fact. But I feel Johnson is the best candidate at the moments.

The Bills have been high on him since his rookie season, developed him for 4 years and expressed their support of him when Poyer went down this season. Unless he’s a complete train wreck he’ll get every opportunity to succeed.

  6. I find it weird that Damar Hamlin is not getting any love.

IMO he is a better safety than Jaquan Johnson.

I see Johnson as a good special teams player and career back up because of his lack of size and athletic limitations.

I see Hamlin having higher upside with better size and athleticism, and a better answer in the short-term.

I expect Beane to sign Josh Thomas from Arizona’s practice squad as he has 2 years of experience playing in Frazier/McDermott’s defense.

The longterm solution will be an athletic, versatile, scheme diverse SS/FS in the 1st round or 2nd round of the 2023 draft. (A versatile LG/C will also be a need that will be a priority to be drafted in the 1st or 2nd round.)

  7. The biggest question is who makes the better field general. We may miss Hyde’s leadership more than anything.
