Coolest Mariner game? Easily game 161 from last year. The amount of energy and intensity in that ballpark after Mitch’s bottom 8th’s hit is unrivaled. Went there with my dad and we both agreed that it was the best game we had ever seen in person.
Or “coolest” as “less energized”? Because that would be the detroit tigers no-hitter, also that year. Yeah… we don’t talk about that one.
When our kids were younger, we alway went to kid’s appreciation day. One year we hear my daughters seat number called. She won a DS. The very first in the US. all the directions and markings in Japanese! The adult kids still talk about those games, the mascot races and the fun.
Man I’d love the Sunday tickets. Coolest mariners moment: I got tickets from my cousin for the Oct. 2nd game last year. Against the Angles. When Mitch hit the home run to take the lead (for the 2nd time) it was the loudest event I’ve ever been to. I was screaming as loud and hard as I could and I couldn’t hear myself. I must have high fived 50 strangers that night.
