  1. I think Watson has a lot of raw talent when you watch him and the drive/work ethic is definitely there… some good instincts on him. Not afraid of getting physical with guys and using his size to his advantage. When you watch him though you also see why he fell in the draft. Lacks agility/quickness, over extends himself a bit, reacts heavily to every WR move (worried he’ll get absolutely roasted on a double move one day), really worried about deep routes (probably knows his speed is an issue) and that causes him to often open early or play deeper than he should.

I said the Marcus Peters comp because I think he’s going to be that type of guy, 99 yard TD INT one play and then roasted on a double move the next. He plays a lot like Peters did when a WR breaks and he basically sells out toward the ball, it’s a good and bad trait.

I’m interested to watch him develop over time though because there’s no denying, there is a lot of raw talent and drive in him. You see plenty of times guys that aren’t the most physically gifted (in this case speed and agility) will be legit players in the league because they work on fundamentals and their will to want every play more than the guy across them. I see Watson as being that kind of potential player but he’s going to have to put in the extra work.
