  1. Nice little piece about the small batting stance changes that lead to huge differences in outcome. The article mentions that the changes he made tend to last, so hopefully it helps next season and he starts off strong.

  2. A lot of hitters have struggles their first year switching leagues or divisions because of all the new pitchers they see. I definitely attribute this to Seager, but I’ll admit Semien’s slow start made me nervous because he was in the AL and used to be in the AL West- but he’s had a solid year and I’m glad to see him get hot. He’s had a 169 WRC+ in September and that gets me GOING.

    For the curious, his monthly WRC+ is

    April: 26 (atrocious)

    May: 78 (quite bad)

    June: 138 (very good)

    July: 136 (very good)

    August: 102 (a hair above average)

    September: 169 (ELITE)
