A lot of hitters have struggles their first year switching leagues or divisions because of all the new pitchers they see. I definitely attribute this to Seager, but I’ll admit Semien’s slow start made me nervous because he was in the AL and used to be in the AL West- but he’s had a solid year and I’m glad to see him get hot. He’s had a 169 WRC+ in September and that gets me GOING.
For the curious, his monthly WRC+ is
April: 26 (atrocious)
May: 78 (quite bad)
June: 138 (very good)
July: 136 (very good)
August: 102 (a hair above average)
September: 169 (ELITE)
