  1. I’m gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. I mean he can’t be shitty again in the playoffs right? People starting to give him shit but he did go 3/5 on tuesday.

  2. He’s pressing. First half Trea doesn’t swing at that pitch. I’m hoping the break before the NLDS will help reset him.

  3. Low and away breaking ball is his weakness. However it’s usually not as bad as this one from the last night

This one was a ball and in the other batters box out of the hand.

  4. I think he’s getting in his own head a bit. A lot of the boys have looked like that lately. They look like they were in the Pirates series at home where they were trying to do too much and force plays that weren’t logical and it bit them in the ass. Hopefully they can settle in and get in the right headspace for the DS

  5. Trea may need 2 perhaps 4 days of full rest other than just some light bp and fielding exercises. Or just limit his innings on field and at bats to 1-2 appearances. Blue has nothing more to “prove” at this point and all focused energy is going towards the real season: The Post. Limiting Trea will do wonders for the mind and body, so that it does a functional and full reset.

Dude’s been incredibly focused and lights out fantastic all season long and also the better half of last year’s season. It’s impossible to keep the show going as up and down cycles will eventually show. IMO he is showing those small, subtle signs of overload (in the body but more concerningly, the mind) insomuch as decision making, which is happening because of work overload. Give him some time off

  6. This is called “giving away an at-bat”. I believe Trea is ready for the postseason to get here.

  7. He had some really bad ABs earlier in the season. Not a big deal if they don’t happen at the wrong time…

  8. He needs to have someone throwing him 1k sliders on the outside of the plate every day and just sit there and not swing. It’s crazy how susceptible he is to that pitch.

  9. Low and away has been his kryptonite all year. It’s like that back door slider to seager and Belli last year

  10. He’s pressing so bad right now. Kinda looks like Mookie at the beginning of the season. He’ll find it.
