Tony the Clown
This guy was never the mascot.
He was a fan who dressed up like a clown to go to home games, entertained kids, gave out baseball cards, could yell louder than an entire section of fans, and occasionally told filthy jokes if he didn’t think any kids were listening.
Oh, and his nose lit up.
He was not so much a mascot and more like the Sox’s ‘Marlin’s Man’ back then.
We already have enough clowns. They’re on the field, In the dugout, and watching from luxury booths. It’s like a baseball oriented 3 ring circus.
Sox management perfectly in their element.
Aaaaaannndddddd we’ve found our new manager
Are we sure this isn’t Super Joe McEwing. The resemblance is striking.
