  1. It was extremely disappointing to see a Nuggets Mod going after Broncos Fans in the Broncos sub.

I understand having friends that are Mods, but going after the community when they cleary upset about the incident (Tweet) was wild.

Having been subscribed to both for some time, more active here then there, I know would have felt the same if the roles were reversed.

I’m grateful for the communities and ability to openly speak about the passionate Teams we love, but shit last wasn’t it.

  2. alright something is up with /u/BoneyardBill account

I can’t get the new message notification to go away

    make it stop!

  3. idk if this is the right time to ask this but do you think the nfl is going to fine Tua for throwing up gang signs in the middle of a game?

  4. When will people stop idolizing people especially ones like Queen Elizabeth and Joel Embiid. Its bad for the soul man.

  5. So u/BrockSmashgood and u/YoungTheGiant_ I am tagging you both in this since you both asked recently.

I reached out to someone quite aware of the Nuggets in-house cap situation. The Nuggets actually did generate the smaller TPE (Monte) than the bigger one (Barton) in the KCP deal.

What it came down to was that in order to generate the larger TPE, Denver would have had to renounce cap holds on Cousins, Rivers, Facu, Troy Daniels, Markus Howard, Austin Rivers, and Richard Jefferson.

So why would they not renounce those?

I don’t know. Renouncing means you’re giving up any bird rights abilities on those players, and I don’t think they would want any of them back anyways. Some teams like to keep cap holds on the books if they’re at risk of going back under the cap, but Denver really isn’t so I’m not sure why they didn’t structure this trade how I envisioned. The way they timed it all certainly gave me the impression that they would, since the order that they did things was the only way it was possible.

I got the vibe from the person I talked to that they were a bit surprised at it being a possibility (the numbers come really close with renouncing those holds, keeping the hold on Vlatko since he got above a minimum). So it’s possible they never even thought of this as a possibility and just finalized the trade. But perhaps they have some plan for those cap holds down the line that they deemed more important than a larger TPE.

  6. Moonage Daydream was pretty cool and immersive, even if it peters out a bit once they get past the 80s. Like AND THEN HE WAS FINALLY AT PEACE WITH HIMSELF AND EVERYTHING WAS GREAT LET’S NOT TALK ABOUT HIS LAST 9 ALBUMS THOUGH, HERE’S SOME MORE VOICEOVER AND ABSTRACT VISUALS.

But if you enjoy 70s Bowie I definitely recommend you go watch this in a theater with a good sound system, because that’s the bulk of the doc. There’s so much good live material and interviews and backstage stuff and they do a great job weaving it all together in a way that reflects his constant persona changes.

  7. Imagine the audacity writing a book called The NeverEnding Story…and then you fucking die.

    Embarrassing.

  8. Oktoberfest party this weekend and you’re all invited. I brewed a keg of festbier and we’ll have brats, pretzels and all the Hartenstein talk you can handle.

  9. Really liking this new Freddie Gibbs album, appreciate the Little Brother shout out in the first track. I can never understand how Little Brother didn’t get more popular than they are, one of my favorites.

  10. Warriors Wizards are in Tokyo…

Do you think Monte and Will got traded so they could just get a free trip to Japan? 🤯

  11. The more I eat, the more I can back down bitches at the YMCA.

I am Mac from IASIP. Try to move my ass. And yes I rock that beard

  12. Nuggets admin needs to post yesterday’s highlights asap, got some fierce cottonmouth over here

  13. I ordered my dream guitar amp yesterday. I’m just going to be pacing around the house until it’s delivered

  14. Got NBA League Pass renewed for the occasion… Now time to suffer bc of out of market games I can’t watch… F#%k!

  15. Did my morning workout routine. Work from home.

How much cottage cheese is allowed before I destroy my toilet?

  16. Damn y’all half way to our daily comment quota and it isn’t even 10am MTN. Great work.

  17. Petition to ban WRB until he thoroughly bullies Broncos sub so they can know what insensitivity truly looks like.

  18. Had to call in today. I woke up and got out of bed and just couldn’t see myself going in. So I had to call in.

  19. Lol just spent some time getting some context in the whole Tua, Broncos Sub, and Lurk fiasco and I gotta say, football fans are in the wrong on this one 1000%.

You know in those movies where someone gets to see everyone’s “*countdown clock*” over their head or something? And how someone will, like, order a greasy burger instead of a salad and the clock with just lose 3 minutes in a snap?

Well yeah, Tua’s clock went down after that injury. No other way to say it.

The primary issue that I see is that football fans, esp. those that didn’t play, are able to forget about the ever present risk of brain injury in football. Things like falling to the ground, blocking at the line of scrimmage, or getting in a pile to recover a fumble are all massive concussion risks on every play. So because they can forget about that danger, they can also forget that they are literally watching a handful of people on the field at any time actively killing themselves. So when someone makes a sharply pointed critique, it “feels” insensitive and like it is politicizing an accident when in actuality, the “accident” is just par for the course.

This is a sensitive subject for me that I have spent a lot of time thinking about over the years because it is personally relevant. I played in college and have sustained almost double digits in diagnosed concussions and lost consciousness on each of the last 4. My Grandpa played in the NFL and died of ALS. Even got $$$ from the NFL every year until he died because of a lawsuit he was apart of that resulted in the 88plan. Odds are, the last years of my life will be similar and I’ll have to deal with the fear and confusion of basically losing memory of the world around me, just like my grandfather. All because of football.

That being said, it is okay to like football. I still do. The players absolutely know what they are getting themselves into like I did. But make no mistake about it, you are watching people lose years of their life every single game. If you can’t come to terms with the brutality of that statement, you probably shouldn’t be watching football.

  20. Johnny Davis is going to be a bust. Also Monte putting up the same numbers as Bradley Beal but getting paid a quarter of the amount this season lmfaooo

  21. Does anyone know if the DNVR nuggets doc is out on Evoca and how I can watch it? ( i have Evoca).

  22. Finally making my goal of seeing Bayern Munich play in person after 16 years!

Then Nuggets (pre)-season when I get back!
