  1. > MIAMI — The unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant involved in clearing Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa during the game Sunday against the Buffalo Bills has been fired after it was found he made “several mistakes” in his evaluation, sources told ESPN.

    > A source said the NFL Players Association exercised its right to dismiss the consultant. The NFLPA and the league each have the right to fire a UNC without agreement from the other party.

  2. Wow thats crazy it’s almost like it was pretty obvious he had a concussion when he collapsed after his head hitting the turf. But you know anyone mentioning that is just a dumb armchair doctor because he was cleared by medical staff. Medical staff never have the team’s interests in mind rather than the players interests.

  3. Is that their name? “Doctor Who Evaluated Tagovailoa”? Name this professional. I am curious to see how “unaffiliated” they are. Miami.

  4. Not gonna lie, this really feels like the NFL is doing a bit of scapegoating here. Not even accusing the Dolphins of anything, it just feels like the NFL would rather fire one unaffiliated consultant than take a long, hard look at whether or not their concussion protocols are effective.

  5. Love this “unaffiliated” talk. Pretty sure you end up affiliated with whomever pays you.

Also love their coach claiming he has no idea how tests are conducted or what thee tests even are. Not a guy I’d want looking out for me.

  6. I don’t think Tua was honest to the doctor about his symptoms but a good doctor would’ve seen through that.

  7. It’s unbelievable how each person in that article skirts responsibility harder than the person before. Right. The doctor.

  8. The twist is he wasn’t even a neuro trauma doctor. He was just a regular guy that stayed at a Holiday Inn the prior night.

  9. I’m gonna be honest, I really do feel bad for him and dolphins fans. Such a shitty situation and a shitty outcome. I genuinely don’t know how to feel as a bills fan. Hopefully he comes back and continues where he left off cause he was getting fun to watch.
