Wow what an understatement, Backlund is obviously one of the top three NHL players of *all time*. All due respect to Crosby and McDavid but they just aren’t even comparable in terms of skill.

Kinda weird to show Backlund in the same tier as Crosby and Mcdavid being the later have never finished top 5 is Selke votes.
Assuming SN didn’t feature a certain Leafs player as the center/focal glamor shot because this ad is for Out-of-Market games.
So they were like, yeah, Leafs fans know who McDavid is, Crosby is Crosby (but not Ovi).
And who’s the one Flames player who is both highly awesome and has been there the longest? Must put Michael Backlund’s sexy mug on that ad!
