  1. That’s just top 5 rusher numbers he’d need to get there this season; last season saw only one back go for over 1,260 yards: JT. We expect Derrick to get those numbers if healthy, so it’s entirely possible.

  2. I mean just getting top 50 this season would be an achievement coming off injury. I’m not sure how much higher he can go than that.

  3. 5636 is unlikely in the next 3 years but 4 it’s certainly possible even with a drop off

  4. 5636 in the next 3 years is about impossible given his age and the fact he has shown efficiency drops the last couple of years that will almost certainly continue even if he still clearly has the ability to have pop-off games.

Barring health/early retirement, I think he will definitely reach that number, but it may be more of a 4-5 years than 3 years.

That is still 1100+ every year on average for this year and the next 4. That is a tall task but if he ends up with 1500 this year and something similar next year then I think he will be on a good pace.

  5. Any statistics/NFL history nerds want to take a crack at where Henry needs to land in the overall rankings at a minimum to guarantee a spot in the hall? Not first ballot, just at some point. Don’t want to rustle any jimmies, but lets assume that résumé does *not* include a Super Bowl.

  6. The king has all of this year plus one more year under contract. I think he’ll get 2,600+ yards combined in these last 2 years. Then I think he’ll sign a contract for another 4 years at a slightly lower price to keep him through his age 33 season. Including this season I think he’s got 6,000 yards left in him. I just truly don’t think he gets the usual wear and tear of other backs. The foot injury was a freak incident.

  7. Henry essentially sitting out his first two years might actually be a godsend for his career numbers. Also notice his utilization isn’t as crazy as it was last season, but he is still on pace to reach 1.2k yards with just NOW looking like himself.

  8. The only way he gets top 10 is having Frank Gore like longevity, which just does not happen, even for an absolute freak like Henry. Very good chance for top 25 in his career if he stays healthy, assuming 3 more years after this one.

  9. That’s great. I’d rather have Vrabes cut off his balls. I want a ring more than a personal record.
