Considering how banged up our WR room is, and the fact that we were openly trying to trade him for a 7th round pick, its really saying something that we’d waive him instead. We’d rather line up TE McBride at wide out or in the slot then Isabella, and there wasn’t even enough interest in him around the league to get a 7th rounder.
The saddest part is that he was a bust from day one, I remember in his rookie season everyone asking why he wasn’t getting any snaps beyond using him as a distraction in fake jet sweeps. They recognized in early preseason during his rookie year he wasn’t good enough to play at this level and it seemed like only injuries ever forced them to use him, at which point he consistently displayed for the world why he wasn’t getting snaps.
I think the final straw was that pass where Kyler, recognizing Isabella was 1 on 1 with a practice squad CB, tried to throw him an easy catch and run TD down the side line and Isabella just stopped running half way through the route, as if just assuming the ball wouldn’t be coming his way. Kyler looked exasperated, the kind of frustration you don’t have unless your seeing this kind of half effort in practice all the time too.
The funny thing is we would have taken Harry if the patriots hadn’t right before. Granted I would have been so excited if we did at the time
Don’t get how one of the fastest guys in his draft can’t get on the field. Couldn’t we try a deep out with him once in a while?

During preseason I seriously thought he had turned a corner. Then he just quit running a streak where he BEAT the defender against the Raiders. Dude is bone headed and can’t catch. Really sucks he ddnt pan out
