Bummer. If we actually found our kicker sometime this year, I was really hoping Eberle could battle him next training camp for the starting kicking job
Can we get lucky with one of these new guys, just for once? Look at Daniel Carlson, launching dimes for the Raiders. Mike Zimmer essentially made him hitchhike home from Lambeau after he missed a few important kicks. He got about a month to kick up his heels before his adventure began in Oakland/LV. Now the dude is widely regarded as one of the best in the game.
I don’t know much about either of the kickers we’re looking at, but we can’t go back to those uncertain times between Hanson and Prater. Clearly Seibert ain’t it.

I kinda feel bad for the guy, he got his shot, something uncountable numbers of people never get, and then choked.
I feel for these kickers who are on the bottom end of top-40 *in the world* at what they do. They get limited opportunities to play in the NFL and make some good money in game checks, so when those opportunities come the mental pressure must be crazy. And this at a position that’s already prone to mentality/confidence swings.
I will genuinely be upset if we don’t use a mid-round draft pick on a kicker. It’s paid dividends for the Browns and Bengals

Jason Hanson could still probably kick. Anyone call him yet?
Think about how much boring and routine the games will be when the kicker doesn’t miss extra points and keeps the ball inbounds on kickoffs.
