  1. It’s fascinating how many players have a baby come back monent when they realize the leagues doors are closing for good.

  2. Says he improved as a player but when you’re 33 and tore your achilles and your ACL that’s essentially a deathknell for one’s career. Attitude aside, when he plays it doesn’t look like he can move at all on the defensive end. For the 10 points he scores he gives up 15 on the other end

  3. “I just want a chance to prove myself.” – Man who has been on 4 teams since 2020

  4. There were rumors that the Nuggets let him go because of his attitude issues (various NBA podcasts). If that’s the case, who wants to put up with drama from a backup center when your starting center is going to play 40+ minutes in the playoffs? And young teams would rather develop their own picks. It would be hard to believe that anyone in their right mind thinks Deandre is better than him.

  5. I don’t like how he constantly has a pouty face like five seconds into being put in the game. He’s already pouting.

  6. Less than a year ago he wore on Denver so much that they went and signed the least effective backup center option in the league just as a breath of fresh air. Boogie seems to do these redemption tours every offseason and then goes and pisses everyone off again like clockwork.

  7. This is a strange Mea Culpa imo. I don’t think the phone’s quiet for Boogie this summer because of some immaturity or character flaws? He’s just had some bad injuries and gotten old.

  8. Deandre Jordan is on a roster, but not Boogie Cousins. What kind of blasphemy is that. I guess he’s on the blacklist team.

  9. Too much of a headache, he was a solid player who thought he was a top 5 player. Constant attitude, blaming teammates, refs, coaches etc. no sorry for the guy at all

  10. Dude’s a center who’s way past his prime. You gotta be an immaculate team player/locker room guy to secure a roster spot and that ain’t DeMarcus

  11. They left out the last part of the quote. “…show my growth, for the 87th time”

  12. What did Cousins do for Chris Haynes? That dude writes so many pro-Cousins articles, it’s crazy.

  13. He says we shouldn’t hold his time in Sacramento against him as if he hasn’t bounced around the league, six teams in six years. And now nobody wants him.

It seems like teams are holding *current Boogie* against Boogie.

  14. Attitude and locker room issues aside, Cousins is like a big man version of Isaiah Thomas. He can only play one particular way, as a high-usage offensive player. He isn’t able to play like a role player, but his current physical condition/capabilities dictates that he plays role player minutes, as he’s very inefficient now offensively on that high volume, and is also a defensive liability. There’s very few teams – either good or bad – that need and will accommodate a player like that. Again, like IT, unless Cousins demonstrates he is willing and able to change his game to fit a particular role, he’s simply washed in his current form.

  15. Who the hell would bring him on at this point? Lots of risk, very little reward.

Go play overseas in China and ball out. That or call it a wrap. Those are your options.

  16. At this point he is a glass cannon, good in doses but not for the long haul, some team might eventually pick him up, but idk
