  1. He’s honestly seemed super confident about owning this team with JT. Sounds engaged and happy with his role. From what he was saying at media days about not having “limitations,” I think he feels validated by the finals run and the team basically told him to let it rip offensively. Why would he leave a contender where he’s already basically a 1b, to go be a 1a on a shitty team, especially if he ends up making more money staying here?

  2. I feel like Jaylen being unhappy is just media driven nonsense for clicks. He’s a bit out there with some of his beliefs (and I can’t say I agree especially with his stance on vaccinations), and being repped by Kanye doesn’t feel great, but Jaylen has given no real indication that he wants out.

  3. I think it’s weird that there’s this narrative the Celtics have to win a title for Jaylen to think it’s worth staying. He’s won more playoff series than Booker, KAT, and Jokic combined, and they all signed their third contracts with the team that drafted them this summer.

  4. People who think it’s disrespectful that Jaylen be considered a trade asset for a top 20 all time player are goofys. If anything, the organization refusing to trade him should be a massive compliment

  5. Name an NBA player who is never mentioned in trade deals.

Why do media and fans need Jaylen to be fragile? He is not.

  6. Jaylen is the VP of the NBA PA. He gets that this is a business. He was drafted by the Boston Celtics because we traded KG and Paul to Brooklyn for his pick. He, of all people, knows that when a player like KD becomes available that it is a GM’s job to explore a possible trade.
