[Pelissero] The Chargers are signing kicker Taylor Bertolet to the practice squad, source said. If Dustin Hopkins (right quad) can’t go Sunday, it’d be the 29-year-old Bertolet – who has spent time with six NFL teams, plus the AAF, USFL and CFL – making his NFL debut against the Browns.

  1. Is Blakenship that broken that chiefs and chargers didn’t give him a chance?

  2. Odd choice with who is available but hopefully this game doesn’t come down to a field goal or extra point

  3. I really question TT at times. He has this knack for going for NFL unproven people: Coaches, kickers etc.

Theres Blankenship, Lambo, Badgley out there. I know we didnt like Badgley but if its a 2-3 week rental thats fine. These guys are NFL proven.

This guy will be kicking his very first NFL snap, and we are a team that typically loses by 1-3 points. Its just frustrating that TT does this

By the off chance this guy has a good streak, its the same thing. Our locker room hypes them up like theyre the next Janikowski and then they start sucking.

It was like when Ty Long got the game ball and the next week did a 28 yard punt lmao

  4. So ive never heard of this dude. Because of that, im calling it now. Bertolet will become the greatest Chargers kicker ever
