Centennial Authority Hires Consultant to Negotiate New Hurricanes Lease

This really seems like they are putting the cart before the horse.
They are making it sound like the Centennial Authority needs this long term commitment or no go on the Arena Upgrades. Issue is that the arena upgrades should be completed and made the selling point for signing the lease not the other way around.
The CA telling the team “hey we can get investments and expansion lined up once you signed” is a joke when you consider the last 25 years.
There’s ample time in the contract for them to do arena upgrades and have plenty of runway for a discussion on an extension. They have been discussing the upgrades and went as far as to outline things with the county back in 2019
With their assistance in completing the Invisalign Arena and other community programs the teams not at all concerned about relocation. The CA needs to get their shit together.
