[Alex Kozora] Minkah Fitzpatrick’s numbers are just absurd. According to my charting, since the Steelers acquired him in 2019, QBs have a rating of just 36.9 when targeting Fitzpatrick. This year? A QB rating of 0.0 when targeting him.

  1. Minkah grading out as the worst starting safety in the league at one point last year means PFF will never have any credibility in my eyes. I have no idea what their qualifications are, but that was asinine.

  2. Making 3 interceptions in 4 games really helps with your Opponent Rating stat. Easy.

  3. I will always remember someone on this sub said when there were rumors of the Steelers trading for minkah. The person said “If this happens I will make vigorous cummie wummies” and that is how I’ve referred to minkah for the last couple of years

  4. he just plays 20 yards off the line and hopes for bad QB play i.e. throwing into double coverage. When they don’t, and when teammates don’t cause easy turnovers for him, he’s really kinda useless. I know this triggers his fans. But it’s true. Just watch the games. Plus he gets cooked A LOT. So I don’t know how they’re coming up with this “targeting” criteria but he’s around or in a play that ends up allowing scores all the time

  5. I was the absolute last person to warm up to that trade and I’m not even just warm anymore I’m blazing hot. Especially since we ended up with a quarterback which is what I wanted to use that pick on.

There are times when being incredibly incredibly incredibly wrong is the coolest thing in the world.

  6. For reference, a rating of 39.6 is what happens if the QB spikes the ball on every play. Throwing near Minkah is worse for the offense than throwing it away every play.
