  1. Aj better see at least 10 minutes per game this season no excuse to send him to the g league

  2. Hard to know for sure what our lineups are going to look like with Bogdanovic and Jalen Johnson not playing, but I think today showed A.J. Griffin should at least get more playing time than Jalen Johnson got last season.

Also, I like Vit Krejci. I think we should keep him.

  3. I’ve seen enough – Trae mvp & finals mvp, Clint DPOY, Dre MIP, AJ ROY, Bogi 6MOY & Nate COY

  4. A pretty solid showing tonight. Loved a lot of what I saw.

Trae Young was masterful tonight and put on a show 31 points and 6 assists in a half. Had a stretch where he went crazy from 3 and was hitting deep ones. Made 7 of 9 3s. Jrue Holiday couldn’t guard him. Had a couple of good defensive plays and had a block on Grayson Allen.

DeAndre Hunter was great tonight 21 points. Made his 3 pointers (2/3). He used his handle to breakdown his opponents he definitely improved there. Has also shown improvement with his finishing ability as well. Was able to use his size.

JC only had 6 in 18 minutes. I feel like most of it was self created rather than pick and roll and lobs. Had a play were he took advantage of a mismatch against Pat Connington. Hopefully that’s a sign for the future.

Clint Capela was Clint Capela. Nothing really stuck out

Tyrese Martin. Laid some bricks tonight. 4 points and went 2/9. Not really his best showing. I think the problem was that he couldn’t hit his shots which was one of his weaknesses coming out of college. The team seemed to trust him with the ball. He basically played pg for a good portion of his minutes and got the ball over Vit. Only one turnover but it felt like he had more. Not bashing him at all and he is a late second rounder so he will be more of a project player.

OO was very good tonight. 12 points on 4/5 shooting his only missed shot was a 3 pointer. Had a self created post bucket which looked good. Had a couple of nice finishes and got to the foul line. I felt he looked a little more comfortable while taking free throws which points to the improved shooting. Solid all around.

Jarret Culver was bad tonight. 7 minutes of playing time. Basically zeros across the board except for turnovers which he had two of. Probably why had such a small amount of time. It’s a good reminder to temper expectations as he is a 2 way player for a reason. Imagine if we had drafted both Cam Reddish and Culver… “Oh dear Neptune”

Chris Silva with 4 points 4 rebounds and 3 turnovers. Had a nice assist to Armani Brooks. Also had a play where he was complaining to the refs while the play was still happening. I didn’t think he was good.

Tyson Etienne wasn’t good went 1 of 5. Could hit another other shot than a layup.

I liked what I saw from Vit Krejci. Only 3 points and it was a banked step back 3 for a buzzer beater. But I liked watching his passing ability and he had 3 assists in the 10 minutes he played. One notible one was a behind the back to Frank who passed to an open AJ Griffin for 3. I think he did a better job of getting the ball to people than Etienne or Tyrese. I want to see 15-20 minutes from home next game to see what he is.

I will end on a very positive note with AJ Griffin. The jump shot was wet. He made 3/5 3 pointers. Had a 3 point attempt where he got fouled and made 2 of them. Tried shooting off screens too. Had a nice contact layup off a 3 point fake as well. I saw some signs of shot creation there. I think he should be getting 15 minutes a game if this is what he can do every night. If he can make 38% of his threes I think he can contribute today. He has the ability to do better as he was 45% in college. Can’t wait to see more of him.

As you can see I talked a lot here so there was obviously a lot of good here. Can’t wait until the regular season.

  5. AJ griffin seems to be a generational shooter Travis Schlenk was cooking something up with that pick hopefully Nate isn’t a total loser and gives him mins during the season

  6. I was at the game today in Abu Dhabi and it was so interesting the way Trae worked the crowd. You had 1000 + guys with Giannis jerseys who were silent every time Hawks made a bucket. But Trae was so electric that by the end of the half they were all shouting MVP every time he scored. Unbelievable half of basketball from Ice. There were kids at half time going to buy his jersey because they were so won over. We got some new Hawks fans tonight 🔥🔥🔥
