Everyday I am more and more convinced the dude just does not want to play.
The Toney gang here all excused him from skipping the voluntary mini-camp, citing he was working out on his own. When you see that he was 1 of only 3 guys (vets Martinez and Shep coming off of major injuries being the other 2) who missed it, you get the idea the guy isn’t serious. And then throw in the constant chatter he doesn’t know the playbook – well….you see where this is going.

NY Giants version of Jed Lowrie for the Mets?
>Kantplayforus Toney
Is he related to noted Yankee infielder I Kant Field?
In every interview with this guy since he’s been drafted (all on Giant’s Youtube channel), he seems highly unintelligent and totally lacking character.
It would not surprise me if the new coaching staff realized very quickly that he isn’t serious and/or can’t understand the playbook.
How he fooled this organization into making him a first-round selection is mind-boggling and I am perfectly content never seeing him on the field in a Giants uniform.
On the flip side, Wan’Dale has the same skill set and seems like an intelligent, high-character man who I hope is finally ready to go next week!
Man…I just want us to have a decent receiving corps sometime in the near future. Kenny Golladay has been a bust since coming over from Detroit, Slayton always has a case of the fumbles, and Sterling Shepard…our number one can never last a whole season. The only bright spot I’ve seen flashes of is Richie James.
