  1. Let’s not beat around the bush. Malgin did outplay Robertson as well. Robertson will get his chance.

  2. Did we receive confirmation of him getting sent down or something? I completely missed it

  3. I’m far more hyped for malgin than i ever was for robertson – acquiring and being patient with him is one of dubas’ all time moves now that he’s a top 6 scoring option

  4. I would expect Malgin will be on a short leash. Playing your way into the top 6 out of camp is one thing, but beating out a rookie that looks ready and hungry and was only sent down because he doesn’t need waivers and you do, should provide him little room for error. I truly hope Malgin lights it up, but I believe he should be given little rope to do so.

  5. It’s an 82 game season, Robertson isn’t cut from the team his chances to play will just come later on due to injury, bad play etc.

I love that we have this type of internal competition. Not only will it force bubble guys to continue their good play but players like Kerfoot, Engval, and Kampf as well.

  6. Since the rumor mill won’t stop until either Kerfoot or Holl gets traded, Malgin needs to show he can be a cheaper Kerfoot.

Given what we’ve seen in the short window so far, it is *feasible*, but he’s going to have to show it right quick.
