Through 5 weeks, D.J. Reed and Sauce Gardner rank 2nd and 5th in catches allowed among qualified (80% of coverage snaps) CBs. They rank 6th and 7th in targets. 3rd and 5th in yards allowed. Hard to argue the #Jets don’t have the best CB duo in the NFL.

  1. Kinda impressive they rank 6th and 7th in targets, but 2nd and 5th kn catches allowed. Really shows just how good they are

  2. I love watching them break up plays. They seem to be in good position and coverage every play their way. I am waiting for the INT every pass or PBU at the least. When MCII or Echols or even Joyner now are targeted it seems they are ready and waiting with no panic. They lift each other up.

  3. D-line is starting to get home too as a result of their tough coverage.

Also so many new faces on this defence, had to figure it would take a few weeks to gel and work out those communication issues.

  4. sauce gardner is so good we are lucky we didn’t pick 1st 2nd or 3rd we mighta screwed it up

all those teams who picked ahead of us are like fuck we should have taken sauce

aiden hutchinson might be a good or great player but sauce has that it factor, like he can singlehandedly change games

might also be the case from last season with zach wilson and trevor lawrence. maybe it’s a blessing in disguise picking 2nd that year

  5. You can call me insane, but doesn’t Zach have the same physical skills as Mahomes? Just the arm, legs and different release points?

  6. Hmm. Two excellent CBs, two solid receivers and RBs, ~~solid OLine~~, promising project at QB. Smells like a trip to the AFCC game to me!
