  1. There’s much dirtier players out there. There’s some who are still around just for their line toeing. Why do they always choose Kadri who at least is skilled? lol

  2. It’s exactly what Kadri is no need to dress it down he is essentially Marchand. Can’t wait until Evander gets his paws on him

  3. Kadri had an entirely clean season and showed growth. Hull is bringing up the Leafs? Nevermind his bias as VP for the Blues or that he still hates the Avs. *Or* the fact that hes just an old drunk asshole. Fuck what he thinks. My dog has better opinions about hockey.

Used to have a lot of respect for The Blues since the days of Chris Pronger. That all changed in May.

  4. Kadri is an idiot. Everytime he has a rumor to be moved elsewhere, I scream “not Pittsburgh!”

  5. This is about one particular piece of shit. No need bringing all the other pieces of shit into this conversation.

  6. One of the best agitators of his generation and a Stanley Cup champion. Great draft choice still would love to have em on leafs. Wish him the best in Calgary.

  7. The game is getting faster and more skilled every year. This new generation of talent is going to be susceptible to targeting. This will lead to the resurgence of the enforcer. Maybe not pure fighters like Boogard, Parker, or Parros. But more like a Simmonds, good skill but mostly physical.

  8. Until someone mentions players like Wilson or Marchand in the same breath, this is just based on the fact that Kadri looks different than pretty much every player in the NHL.

Point being, Kadri, who just had the best statistical season of his career, finished top 20 in scoring and won a Stanley Cup, and this windbag has to bring him up specifically, unprovoked, to say he’s an idiot…

  9. Kadri is a rat. He had a good season and faced discrimination so everyone is on his dick. He’s a repeat offender and a little snake .

  10. Let me FTFY Hull: “He certainly screwed the Avalanche over the year before he cleaned up his act, wrote about it in the Players Tribune, scored a playoff hat trick against the Blues, played through pain, and was an instrumental part of the Avs Cup run both on the ice and as an inspiration in the locker room.”

Edit: Anyone who thinks Kadri is a liability in the playoffs can kiss my ass.

  11. You don’t have to be a genius to figure out why Hull doesn’t like Kadri. If he was a white upperclass dude from Brampton or something he’d be praising him.

  12. He *was* and idiot. Now he’s a Stanley Cup Champion after having to smarten up a bit.

  13. There’s like a 98% chance Hull is half in the bag for this podcast, or I guess just at any point throughout the day

  14. Leafs fan here. Most of the Kadri hate comes down to what he looks like and his name. The league is full of feisty scrappy white boys that everyone loves but the one prominent POC Muslim does the exact same shit and everyone wants him out of the league.

Last summer I saw a Caps fan going at Kadri as if Tom fucking Wilson isn’t on his team. For fuck’s sake people. If you hold POC in hockey to higher standards of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct, you’re racist. Pure and simple.

  15. Brett Hull wasn’t the cleanest player either. But he’s not wrong here. The NHL needs to step up for player safety. Players like Kadri, Marchand, Reaves, Wilson, etc. all keep getting away with just slaps on the wrists. They’re not going to change and they don’t care if or how they hurt anyone.

  16. Kadri is what, coming on 11 years in the NHL and has had a suspension in 9 of those years? Brett hull may be a drunkard but he’s right about Kadri regardless of who you root for. Even the Denver post had an article about the reluctantiness to fully accept Kadri when he was traded over.

  17. Hull also played in different era when he had guys like Chase and Twist who would go out and take anyone out if they made plays like Kadri has. The enforcers did help prevent the cheap stuff. Now it’s the magic wheel spin of punishments that have zero standard. I’m not saying we should bring back enforcers but the player safety people do need to get their act together. Sure Kadri has gotten some fair suspensions but there are lots that don’t.
