2. I’d rather get a stud DT like Carter or Bresee. I think the interior pass rush is a bigger need.

   I don’t think I could stomach a QB taken early unless it was Stroud. Other than that, defensive BPAs and take a QB like Uiagalelei to sit behind Goff next season.

8. Draft position is a pipe dream. We have had some great draft positions (great players from those picks too), but we haven’t had any playoff wins to show for those picks.

   In the past 22 years, we’ve had 14 top ten picks and 8 of those were top five picks. I haven’t seen any playoff runs yet during the past 2 decades from great “draft position”. Let me know when great “draft position” works out for the the Lions.

   Don’t get me wrong, I root for the Lions every week in my 30plus years of my lions fandom. Draft position hasn’t worked thus far and, going by history, it won’t help now. We need better leadership starting from the top since that has been the only consistent thing in my tenure as a fan.

   I’m not a talent scout or anything, obviously. I’m just a fan that hasn’t seen anything fruitful from “draft position”. Please stop with the “tank commander” bs. I just want to see them win, especially against 10-3 teams!
