  10. I really don’t think they’ll play today. There is a window of about 7-10 that looks like no rain, but a playoff game generally lasts longer. So I’m not convinced they’ll believe they can get the whole game in

  14. If only the technology existed for some sort of structure to be built above the playing field, allowing games to be played in all kinds of weather. Imagine the rain falling but effortlessly directed away for the pitch, allowing the turf to stay dry. Perhaps a structure not dissimilar from Rome’s Pantheon (built in the 2nd century AD), but large enough to play a ball game inside? We could call it a “domed stadium.”

    I know, it’s a foolish dream, probably impossible.
