  1. The refs have literally already proven that they will throw a fucking hissy fit and not change the calls they made on the field. They already intentionally sandbagged the pass interference rule, why do we think this would go any different?

Honestly? The answer is to make QBs 2 hand touch and give them a fucking red jersey (or a skirt, whatever works). We’re going that way anyway, just fucking pull the band aid off and do it already. No owner wants to pay a guy 40 mil a year (soon to be 50-60) to see him get crushed in the open field by a linebacker on league minimum.

  2. At this rate every penalty is going to end up being reviewable. The Chiefs will lose a playoff game because of a bad holding call and the NFL will make holding reviewable that offseason.

  3. Sports need to leverage technology to allow officiating to largely occur from the booth and in virtually real time. It would make games much better officiated, reduce bitching about calls and make the games take less time to play.

If the tv viewer knows what the right call should have been in 10 seconds, the game officials could know in 5 seconds, if they are properly situated and given the right tools.

  4. We already tried this with PI and look how that went. How about forced retirement for officials 50+ years old? Thatd be a good start

  5. Rise in online sports gambling paired with a steep increase in terrible reffing?

    What a fucking coincidence

  6. No need to make roughing the passer reviewable.

Remove the body weight rule, since this is what of cause guys to swing them to the ground to avoid landing on the QB.

Then give the sky official the ability to quickly veto the call and buzz down to refs.

Roughing the passer calls are way down this season because they told refs to stop calling glancing blows to the head of QBs.
