[Jeff Miller] #Chargers CB J.C. Jackson on his health as it relates to his recent struggles: “The ankle thing has nothing to do with it. It’s more technique and fundamentals. It’s still a learning process with the defense and everything. I’m not blaming my ankle. I’m 100% healthy.”

  1. The ankle injury is very clearly the issue but at least he has a good attitude about his performance lately.

  2. Is Staley’s defense too complex for its own good? It would make sense why two years in a row now it’s struggled. It shouldn’t be this bad with the players we have, and makes sense that if it is, it could be why the weeks out have caused JC to be behind on learning everything in the system.

  3. Is he just a product of belichicks system? The pats DB’s this year are killing it which makes me think it might be coaching over talent

  4. His mic’d up from training camp, he seems very serious about his training and being the best he can be, it just hasn’t translated yet.

I hope he improves. I believe he’s really trying. ⚡️⚡️⚡️

  5. Put it this way… what he’s basically saying is I’m still learning this new defense because I was never used as a Zone corner… always been a press man to man corner..but Staley got me doing that rn and I’m tryna learn and show ya what I’m capable of… injuries are not the issue.

  6. wasn’t he widely considered a top 5 CB before this year? Top 3? Where’d his technique and fundamentals go?

  7. I think he’s hurt still, it was very obvious last game. He’s just trying to no use it as an excuse

  8. Guys gotta remember that Bill coaches defense vastly differently than any other coach. He is trying to fit into how we do things. Chill, give him time
