  1. Nobody is surprised by this. Dodgers haven’t won a real World Series in forever. Choke choke choke. Right as rain.

  2. Well, the sun came up this morning. Still shocked a team this good offensively had 0 postseason magic at the plate.

  3. The narrative that the dodgers are reg season darlings wont go away until they win the WS in a full reg season. They’re choke artists. Don’t even care what they do next year in the reg season. wake me up if they win it all, until then I’m really over it. At least until Roberts leaves.

  4. braves fan here, did y’all also give players fat extensions right before the series?

  5. God damn. I hope ownership is fucking embarrassed about the teams performance. This was a legendary bed shitting. All of the pieces were there. The top offense in the league and a top starting rotation and bullpen. We were going in mostly healthy. But the effort and execution of this ‘start studded’ lineup was God fucking awful. The fact that they looked so lethargic and apathetic should be a disgrace to the franchise. They got out played and out hustled by a team they thoroughly dominated the last 6 months. I highly doubt that Dave will get canned because of the regular season, but his seat should be pretty fucking hot this off-season. And not because of the in game moves (at least for me) but the lack of effort and preparedness from the boys. It’s inexcusable for the team to look that checked out for the postseason. And if ownership and Friedman aren’t going to get a manager that can do that, they need to get players that will bring the contagious competitive fire we’ve been missing since Joc and Kiké left. Hopefully ownership is ready to make some hard decisions this off-season. If they try to run it back with this same group, I doubt the fans will show out like they did this year.

The boys took and incredible and amazing season and just threw it in the trash. The Padres deserve this franchise defining win for them. No matter what happens in the CS or WS for them, this season is a huge win for them.

  6. Well, there’s always next year. I hope they give some rookies really long leashes, as the aging core… really showed. Gavin Stone #3 Starter 2023 Campaign

  7. Braves fan here. I was really hoping for Episode III Braves vs Dodgers: Revenge Of The Freeman in the NLCS.

I’m moderately disappointed right now, but we’re both still World Series champs so, let’s hope anyone but the Padres or Phillies win the WS.

  8. Last year’s bow out of the postseason felt understandable since the team practically hobbled into the NLCS after an extremely rough season and NLDS against the Giants. This time it just feels like they didn’t give a shit and that’s the most frustrating and heartbreaking part.

  9. The Dodgers need to reassess how they build teams. The pure analytics nerd approach isn’t winning. Also we need more homegrown players that are hungry to win. We needs “dawgs.” A lot of these guys don’t care about winning for LA. People loved Kobe because he never stopped competing. So many players become passive after coming to an LA team and getting the bag. And lastly, I think the team needs to get a manager who can keep them fired up through October. The team just always lacks energy compared to other playoff teams. I guess a good thing is Dodgers are getting off a lot of money this offseason and so have the opportunity to do a true culture reset

  10. I’m honestly still in shock. I’ve been watching since 2001 and this is probably the most disappointing performance in my lifetime, worse than 2019 even. I usually tune in any chance I get during the regular season but for the first time ever I’m actually considering just going casual next season. Why should I make the effort to watch and spend my valuable time when the players can’t be bothered to do the same. I, like many of you, are more disheartened by the performance than by the result. The regular season has become meaningless. The only silver lining I can muster through all this, is that the padres went all in but at least they will not be competitive after 2024 when they lose all their pitching, but the 2023 and 2024 seasons will be tough. I still think we are built better for the long term but it sucks we can’t seem to find the guys that get it done in the postseason. Anyways rant over.
