  6. I just wanted to see ONE shot down the field on a 2nd and 2 or 3. We’ve seen them run those plays, but the last 2 weeks, they’ve been missing. Shit, even if you overthrow Quez by 10 yards to play it safe, it keeps the defense honest.

  16. Eagles did to the cowboys what they did to every other team when we scored, long drives that killed the clock.

    Only concern is the 3rd quarter, idk if its because we have leads going into the half or what but both offense and defense come out slow in the 3rd quarter all year so far.

    I love this team and sucks have two wait 2 weeks for them to play again.

  21. My coworker who is a dallas fan made a bet with me that if the Eagles won; she’d wear a shirt at work the next day. She had been saying multiple times that Dallas was gonna beat us, but didnt happen!

    All in all, wasnt at all an ugly win. Only real gripe was the defense not doing well in the 3rd quarter; Gannon really needs to fix the 2nd half choking before it gets out of hand.

  22. This had quite the feel of a game from 2018 – start off with nothing in the first quarter, then score some points, look poised to take it with ease, but then the defense can’t keep up in the second half.

    The difference though? They remembered to run the ball, and didn’t wait until the alarms were blaring. They were able to re-establish that and it was a big deal when it was needed most.

I was at the game with my wife for my birthday, met a couple that fucking flew in from Canada, witnessed another dude sitting on my other side win $200 from calling the smitty TD, saw Joel Embiid and Meek Mill sitting in the owners box with Lurie and Howie.   35. We can’t continue to have those poor 3rd quarters or else it’s going to cost us. Thankfully we play well for 65-75% of the game.

    Lane Johnson’s injury turned out to be more damming for this team than I had originally thought. We started to see that Dallas pass rush after being invisible all game. I think if Lane’s in there, we never stall out on O like we did.

    Fortunately we started to get settled and leaned on our line’s strength of running the ball.

    Happy to be 6-0 and going to enjoy this little break of Eagles related stress lol. Fly Eagles Fly

  36. Two things can be true: Dallas likely wins this game with dak.

    But also, cowboys fans have said they’d expose us for weeks, only to lose by 2 possessions with us sleeping through the 3rd quarter.

  42. This coaching staff asked Hurts to do absolutely nothing in the passing game tonight. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a [pass chart like this](https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/charts/single/all/philadelphia-eagles/2022/week/jalen-hurts/HUR767022) for a starting QB in good weather. After the Jax game, people said they were conservative because of the weather. But then only three pass attempts beyond 15 yards last week (none beyond 25) and **zero** pass attempts this week beyond 15 yards. And one of the two pass attempts beyond ten yards was the TD to Devonta where the Cowboys just completely lost him.

    **Note that I’m not saying this as blame or praise for any player or any coach**, more to point out that this is a very unique offense right now. A lot of people talking about the inconsistency. The inconsistency is because the Eagles’ offense is really not particularly consistent at driving down a full field right now. In the first three games, the offense was built around 50/50 jump balls. Which meant their offense was successful 50% of the time, which makes for inconsistency. They’ve tried to remedy that by not throwing any 50/50 balls, but that seems to pretty clearly not be the right approach either. A *lot* of their scoring drives are on short fields, which are naturally inconsistent in when you get them.

    Should be very interesting to see what the offense looks like after the bye.

  44. Man I was so upset at that comeback in the 3rd. Everytime a player goes down, The team loses their mind. Right when one of our key players come back, BOOM, he gets an INT to seal the game. That was beautiful & frustrating at the same time.

  48. This was a big win for the birds. I love that they adjusted the play calling for the 4th quarter once Dallas couldn’t stop the run. It was the right decision to win the game. They scared me in the 3rd quarter though.
