Grit, heart, character. Whatever you want to call it, this team lacks it. Next year is always the year until it isn’t. I’m so fucking tired of watching this team I love falter year after year. I know it’s only 3 games in, but it’s way too similar to the past seasons to not be tired of this.

Seems like another year where they just don’t start the season on time. I’d say they’d turn it around come December and come up just short like usual but this management group won’t give them that long. They likely ride out the road trip and then see if they can get a couple wins strung together at home. If that doesn’t happen someone gets traded and likely someone out of the core group. You just can’t keep shooting your foot to start the season and throw away these points. This was your chance to finally take a step forward yet it’s the same story as last year without any of the excuses.
Sure, it is only three games and there is plenty of time to turn it around. It’s just such an infuriating trend to witness. These were all winnable games. All they had to do was kill a couple of fucking penalties and score a couple on the powerplay. When special teams cost you 6 points right out of the gate you are just asking to miss the playoffs again. It’s not a bad group of players but it certainly seems like it’s a bad fucking team. Starting to wonder just how important Tanev and perhaps even Markstrom were at keeping these guys in check.
Pretty hard to stink when they are not putting out enough effort to sweat.
Sounds like an addict gambler that just lost another bet
Somebody from the core group has to go to shake things up.
Honestly at this point trade Bo maybe the captain getting shipped out will be a reality check.
They keep out playing their opponent only to then give up as if they’re bored of playing
