The “Not So Good” Part | Kurt Warner Breaks Down Justin Fields and the Bears Offensive Woes

  1. He’s just hesitating at pulling the trigger, or “getting stuck” on #1 read. It’s kinda really triggering how many times he’s actually looking at the right guy, but he just refuses to let it go.

  2. Morale of the story, Fields needs to rip it and not worry about turnovers. And there’s times he does this.

On the flip side, the execution or play design is super congested at times giving Fields no options to dump off to a hot route

Edit: Also, back-breaking drops by WR’s leading to Im sure the lack of trust

  3. Kurt Warner’s weird but kinda hot wife knows more about QB than I ever will. But my criticism is there isn’t a QB in the NFL that thinks this much or recognizes this much on any play. Even Brady himself isn’t getting through four reads, noticing the coverage, finding the safety, ect ect ect. Charles Woodson once gave a quote that succeeding in the NFL comes down to picking up on 3-5 consistent tells. If someone teaches you them or you pick them up – your successful. If not you falter. Aaron Rodgers has said similar things. You don’t need a PHD in reading defense to be a great NFL QB. Urlacher has famously said numerous times he didn’t need to watch film. He just knew where to go. We need to get fields in a position where he only needs to notice 1-2 things. Mooney one on one. Throw the jump ball. Safety sitting over the top of him scramble. The big myth in the NFL is QBs can throw to a variety of receivers. Even the great Mahomes is struggling throwing to a bunch of tier two guys, and he has Kelce. Brady isn’t playing well without Gronk, Evans, Goodwin consistently out there. Rodgers looks washed. SEC schools have been pumping out freak defensive line men for ten years now. The biggest myth in the NFL is you can run these crazy complex offenses while there are athletic monsters on the d-line. The giants are 5-1 and they have done nothing but run Barkley and get Danny Dimes run plays and easy throws. We are overthinking our offense. Nagy was an over coacher. I fear Getsy has some of that also.

  4. cant say the wideouts never get open anymore. they do get open.. fields for whatever reason[s] wont pull the trigger. i can appreciate it if ball security is his top priority.. but its a fine line between risk aversion and being aggressive for a good nfl qb. he needs to move more towards his aggro side.

  5. ‘Hey maybe we should get players Fields trust’

    This sub: stfu

Also this sub: ‘why doesn’t he trust anyone???’

  6. What does he mean by, “The not so Good” part? I didn’t really see anything different from the first part except more receiver drops. He didn’t really say anything serious about Justin besides his mechanics on some throws

  7. Kirk Warner is a phony. I know his brother. He says the stories about him are all BS. It’s pure fiction.

  8. Glass half full, fields clearly knows the playbook and knows what he’s supposed to be looking for.

He’s making his pre snap read, identifying the key defender, looking right at his progressions in the proper order.

Whatever trigger in his brain is supposed to say “there it is, throw the ball now” just isn’t firing.

    I don’t know if it’s fixable but I also don’t know that it’s not fixable. It’s a weird one
