  1. This glorious high we’re riding would be replaced by a incredibly familiar ‘fuck everything’ low.

  2. Shows the enormous difference an elite GM makes to a team. Grateful for Howie, especially through all the calls for his head surrounding 2020.. but hindsight’s always 20/20 right?

  3. Maybe he plays better behind our better O line, but yeah… maybe we’re 4-2 or 3-3 instead? And all anyone talks about is how much we gave up. “We’d probably be 3-3 with Jalen and still have all our picks and cap space! We need receivers for Russ to throw to! Our defense still has too many holes at CB and LB!” Etc etc etc.

Thank goodness Seattle was greedy AF. If the terms were more favorable, I definitely think Howie and Jeff would have been the lead horse in that race.

Then again, maybe they kicked the proverbial tires on him through sources around the league and found his character/attitude to be detrimental, and simply would have passed at nearly any price. I would rate our ownership and management competent enough to read the writing on the wall there.

  4. I think our team is a lot better than the broncos but a lot of that has to do with our FA signings, I think russ would look a lot better here than in Denver but I think he’s still regressed and our team would look a lot different- very happy with where we’re at

  5. Ayo as a long time Broncos fan I’m SO happy to also be an Eagles fan. While the Broncos are a dumpster fire right now, the birds are playing their best season since the SB, and I’m fucking hyped to be there to witness it. This year’s Eagles are doing pretty much what I thought the Broncos were going to do. I wanted a jersey before the season and I was thinking either Russ or Hurts. So glad that I waited; ordered my Hurts jersey yesterday!

Go birds fly Eagles fly! Fuck Dallas!

  6. Like fucking dogshit

Couldn’t believe how many people argued for this in the offseason for a guy who didn’t win a fucking thing when he didn’t have one of the best defenses of all time around

  7. This reminds me of a story that ends with a Philadelphia sports GM earning the moniker Ruin Tomorrow.

  8. I wanted zero part of that deal, I loved the low cap cost of Jalen to allow him to grow and bring in playmakers. Also draft picks baby, I would much rather build than to buy.

  9. I for one like everyone hating us because we are good, not hating us because our QB is an absolute freak who runs an abysmal offense on primetime every other week.

  10. I will fully admit I was hoping we got him in the off-season and I will very gladly eat my words along with a nice slice of humble pie for dessert.

  11. I feel like this is the year where all the quarterbacks got old at once: Wilson, Brady, Rodgers.

Just because Brady played well at 42-43, for some reason this became the new expectation… even though mid 30s has been a clear time of decline for almost all athletes for decades.

  12. I have much more confidence in Sirianni as a coach than that goofball in Denver and our OL over theirs so I don’t think it would be AS bad as it is, but I’m so glad we didn’t make that move

  13. His O line isn’t as good as ours, but here recently, it looks like he’s just taking some bad sacks like Wentz used to do. Not sure why…

  14. I’m so glad I was wrong about Russ, I remember wanting him so bad and was unsure of Jalen. Should’ve had faith all along

  15. Probably like 4-2. Better coaching. Better run game. Better roster to overcome how terrible he’s been.

  16. Minshew would already be starting in his place. 🤣🤣. Shit Denver could of had Minshew for 2.5m and a third rounder!,

  17. Did anybody criticizing him see the first quarter? Seriously guys, there’s a lot going on in Denver other the Russ. The guy was flawless in the first quarter, than everybody including their coaches disappeared.

  18. He would play better just by way of a better OL. But yeah he’s not been worth the things they spent on him.

  19. While I am SO happy we didn’t get him, I can’t think he wouldn’t have a couple years of success in this offense. Even without brown, the run, play action with smith, quez and Dallas would be lethal.

Denver doesn’t have the personnel to provide him with the infrastructure he needs to succeed. Solid run, play action pass with fast, capable receivers in the outside. Ask him to sit and read and work the intermediate middle and he flounders. Eagles have a better roster and MUCH better coaching. I think he and the eagles would be having a good year.

    Thank god it didn’t happen!
