I am not the author, but I found this analysis to be really encouraging.
It looked like they finally figured out how to beat soft coverage. They were banging their heads against a brick wall quite a bit with the runs up the middle and passes to the backfield for no gain. We seem to have found the middle of the field again and that makes these defensive looks collapse.
I really feel like this season will pan out similar to KC’s 2021 campaign. They were also being getting locked down by soft coverages to start the year, but they figured it out around this time and cracked off 8 in a row while looking like world beaters again.
