I’ve given Mariota a fair amount of flack, but he had a great performance on Sunday.
Smith may have figured out the best way to cover his weaknesses with running the ball down teams throats and limiting the times we pass. Though I don’t expect us to be able to continue a run heavy game script every game this season. However if Mariota maintains that play when we can keep the run going strong the team may exceed expectations.
