  2. Wow, I had my angry pants on and everything, and then they ripped them right off me with that third period

    3. We owned that game after going down 2-0. If only we can avoid the slow starts!

  12. That third period was brilliant. If we can get to the point where we play the full game like that, we’re a genuine threat. Consistency is important moving forward.

    Also Nick Motherfucking Blankenburg.

  28. *<at the end of the game>* Boy, that escalated quickly. I mean, that really got out of hand fast.

  29. A note about Elvis – 2 of the goals were arguably interference and the third was a goal that no goalie on earth is going to expect to be shot and went through like 18 legs. Even the one that was called back was one of the best shots of the season.

    Lay off the man.

    2. I’m pretty sure it was secretly Danforth carrying the 4th line last year because Kuraly looks awful
    3. It’s a shame Rosie isn’t slightly better at actual offense because he’s a puck transition monster

  44. 5 games in 8 days to open the season against teams that ended last season with 116, 110, 109, 92, and 97 points, respectively. Without Laine for 4.5 of those games. Honestly, walking away with 4 points out of that isn’t so bad. I wish they’d look remotely competent against the Canes and Lightning, but if they can build off of tonight and carry it forward, I’m pretty damn excited to see what they can do.

  45. Gudbranson laying out 2 Preds attackers in the crease at once is why he was signed and what the jackets missed on D last year. A big SOB that will flatten you for getting near his goalie.
