If the Padres lose in Philly for some reason they better not play the “Goose” death scene from Top Gun.
UNPOPULAR OPINION: Yeah I yelled, or else you wouldn’t listen. This goose showed up once, during a complete other series, plus it seemed injured when it landed. Apparently it was “released” to safety but there is no evidence it didn’t die because it was wounded or I’ll. If there is, BRING THAT EVIDENCE NOW, or else move on and get a new rally piece for the next series.
Really glad they worked to honor the Chicken during the 50th anniversary celebrations. Giannoulas is a legend but he’s pretty old now.
This is kinda sad considering (at the beginning) the SD Chicken colors represented the Padres, Chargers, and Clippers. So yeeeah 🙁
We have not only a world famous zoo but sea world. Let’s get crazy with some animals. Maybe a cobra jelly fish and a wolverine in the visitors dig out.
Anyone else notice that the Avian Flu spread from LA to SD this past week? I wonder if that’s why that goose needed a breather on the field last week.

I mean, the guy who played the SD chicken seems to have retired it more or less. Maybe it’s time to move on.
