  1. Gesicki makes that TD grab that Fields slightly over threw in the red zone 10/10.

He also is more a WR than a TE and is still 100000% better than Kmet.

But he’ll be 28 next year and will need an extension.

I’m all for adding weapons for Fields, but this a pass for me.

  2. Would love this. I’ve been hoping for Gesicki in FA but if he can be had for a day 3 pick now, that’d be great.

Not much of a blocker but he gives you a big, athletic target that can get open & catch the ball.

  3. Hate to break it to everyone, but he’s on the franchise tag for $11 million this season. Doesn’t make sense to give up assets to get him unless we can re-sign him, and we would also need to finagle our current cap for this year in order to make it happen. Seems like a stretch.

  4. I’d like him. Kmet’s obviously not looking good at the moment. We need somebody else with him. A veteran TE is required, whether via trade now or in FA in the offseason, if we’re to support Fields as much as we can.

  5. Nah.. Move on.. Why trade draft capital for a TE plus have to give him big time money? Save the draft capital, Kmet has proven that he can be a good TE (top 12 in receptions and receiving yards in 2021 plus a good blocker). More important key positions that need to be filled WR, Rush DE, Run Stop DT, second LB, C, and Tackle

  6. Honestly what would we do with him? Make Kmet a blocker and have Mike run routes?

Actually maybe it is a good idea.

  7. Gesecki lines up out wide or in the slot for 92% of his snaps in 2021. He only blocked on 11 snaps all season.

Dude’s a WR we can pay less.

He instantly comes in as our WR2, and we can still play Kmet on most plays. I see this as an absolute win if the price is reasonable.
