  1. i think it might be time for dubas or keefe to go ahead and stand up for these guys and take a fine. that’s pretty ridiculous

  2. I see why maybe they didn’t call it, Marner cuts back last second and gets buried. Sometimes they don’t call that. But, after the Tripping call on the Leafs which I thought was soft, this is a frustrating call to not get.

  3. Bullshit league, refs are pretty much wwe level story managers.. only reasonable explanation when he’s looking right at it.

  4. Hard call. I feel like if a Leafs player hit a player in a similar position it would of been called. Honestly though from my view it looks like Mitch did turn into the hit. Dangerous play, I’m happy he got up

  5. Similar play with kucherov On barkov last night and I don’t think a penalty was called either ?

  6. I’m convinced the refs hate Marner, he complains a lot and doesn’t get any calls. A player of his skill should get way more.

  7. Why did Marner put himself in that spot? Gotta protect yourself. Penalty! or not, can’t give up your back with your head down and just hope you don’t get buried. Don’t know what he was doing, an unusual play for him.

  8. I think this as good a place as any to remind people that Pionk still isn’t good enough to make our top 6.

  9. Anybody else notice Matthews has drawn 7 penalties already? Half of his total from last year and it’s 6 games in

  10. The Sandin hit a couple mins later was just as dangerous IMO and we somehow got a powerplay out of that

  11. I’m only watching what I see here but I have to say I don’t see the intent to hurt or injure here. I’m not trying to be stubborn here but I have to side with the refs on this one. Maybe it looks bad cause Marner got cut up a bit. To me it looked as though the guy was just trying to corral Mitch.

  12. You guys aren’t gonna like it but it’s 50/50. He turned into the hit but at the same time the Winnipeg player could’ve avoided it. Could’ve gone either way

  13. Following video review, Mitch Marner has been fined $5,000 for damaging league property, the maximum allowable under the CBA.
