>That’s *not* pretty much it, though. To put Westbrook’s 41.2 percent contest rate in perspective, only two other players on record have had less than 50 percent of their jumpers contested: Joakim Noah, at 48.7 percent in 2013-14 with the Bulls, and Andre Roberson, at 48.8 percent during the 2016-17 season with the Thunder. This season, Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon’s 60 percent contest rate is the league’s second lowest behind Westbrook’s.
We’re witnessing a historic season, for multiple reasons.

And he’s shooting 28%, with 8% from 3.
Everyone expected the worse and it’s still been disappointing…..
At this point maybe he should pull a Ben Simmons
God damn Russ. Teams aint even respecting him from 10 feet anymore.
When I said he belonged in China, I didn’t actually think he’d regressed to that point
I can remember when he was 80% + from the line, had a good mid range and was improving to the point of being somewhat reliable from the 3.
Now, he’s arguably the worst shooter in the league, all things considered
Westbroken
He’s washed up
Are we comparing a 3 game sample size to 82 game sample sizes?
It’s really surprising to me how under the radar Westbrook’s injury history is. Dude’s had 5 surgeries in 5 years AFTER he came back from meniscus tear. They really need to stop letting him shoot, the guy has had operations on both hands and multiple fingers
Alright maybe westbrick was appropriate
Lmao no it’s not the worst 3 game shooting stretch ever. Miss me with the bs
It’s all mental now, plus he had multiple surgeries the past few off-seasons. He needs a fresh start elsewhere, what happened last year is still in his head.
Eh solid
Tons of rate stat records get shattered over three game stretches.
Give Russ the keys to the offense and let him cook!
He needs more reps to get in rhythm and gel with LBJ and AD.
Honestly, I know it’s easy to say because it’s not my money, but it feels that the only solution to having a playable team whatsoever is to eat the money and send Westbrook packing. Addition by subtraction on the court, don’t have to give any other assets off the court. Dude is done, unfortunately
You won’t break my soul
It’s because he creates so much separation, right?
So you are saying the league is more worried about a Ben Simmons jump shot that a Westbrook one?
It’s honestly sad watching Westbrook being played like a random dude from the park
We’re going to see coaches straight up bench players if they contest a Russ jumper.
“Nah, nah, nah, watch out. Let him shoot.”
