  1. Brown probably believes a lot of weirdo shit that is kept under wraps.

I mean he’s clearly antivax despite endless attempts by the org and fanbase to deny it

  2. its always funny reading through the celtics subreddit when new jaylen shit pops up, one half condemning him and the other half coming up with hilarious excuses as to why he and kyrie arent the same

  3. I certainly still agree with their positions regardless, but it’s so stupid that Jaylen think it’s okay to demand empathy from other communities while actively ignoring discrimination against those communities. It’s literally the same mindset that’s blocking the change they’re fighting for.

Edit: Removed Lebron cos it isn’t fair to group him with Jaylen

  4. Idk why people like this clown. He always comes off as a pretentious prick that thinks he knows more than everyone else. First it was about covid and now he’s continuing to support a racist. So much for that Berkeley education

  5. When you hold college dropouts who didn’t take the most academically rigorous courses as prime examples of smart then we’ve gone wrong

  6. Just an incredibly weird guy, clearly isn’t as vocal as Kyrie but just gives off the vibes that hes the same level of stupid and brainwashed

  7. Are we sure he doesn’t agree with Kanye? Everything this dude says that’s not about bball is pretty sus imo

  8. Jew here who grew up in the projects.

The reality is an enormous part of the black community is anti semitic (most don’t know any Jews). No one wants to throw blame at another community, but obviously this subreddit is mostly white, so I don’t think they know the extent of the anti semitism. Idk what to do to fix it, I don’t think it’ll happen

  9. Really hope Jaylen finds his way.

When speaking out about racism and social injustices he seemed to be outspoken and educated like an Ali, Kareem, and Russell.

But he’s veered into conspiracy and misinformation.

It’s really sad to see the cognitive disconnect of these Black Celebrities who spread anti-semitism or are complicit in it. It’s destructive to racial equity movements, and divides our communities even more.

  10. I get fucking boomed in Cs sub saying this guy is a moron trying to sound eloquent. I’ve always been skeptical of him as a person off-court—he just reeks of fake woke, and then the whole antivax shit and Kanye affiliation happened. This is the nail on the coffin

  11. Same guy that was a chess master and was apparently intimidatingly intelligent towards NBA GMs in interviews, and then regularly attended Harvard conferences. I know tons of super intelligent people that believe in the absolute craziest shit. Sometimes the smartest people get dragged the deepest in because they’re so good at connecting the dots, if someone they respect points them in the wrong direction it can really spiral out of control because once they believe it they’ll come up with a whole lot of ‘good’ reasons to confirm their beliefs. I grew up in a conservative area and all of the friends I have who became hardcore Qanon types were really bright people in a STEM sense just super misinformed :/. Its that transferable expertise fallacy, Jaylen is intelligent in super specific ways which makes him think he can’t be wrong about anything.

  12. >”A lot of time goes into creating an entity or organization,” he said. “The reason why I signed with Donda Sports, it represented education, it represented activism, disruption, it represented single-parent households, and a lot more people are involved in something like that. A lot of people that I work with, work with their families, build love and respect for, spending time in the summer. A lot of people involved.”

If that’s his reasoning for staying, couldn’t he just leave Donda and start his own organization with similar principals?

  13. Racism is pretty cut & dry. There’s no “well…”. If you stand with assholes like Kanye & Nick Cannon, it’s literally no different then standing with David Duke.
