  1. “Judge is at the top of the Giants list and they won’t be underbid,” the person said. “If they miss out, it won’t be because of money.”

The person added that the Giants planned to entice Judge further by signing at least two-high priced free agents.

“The Giants are not going to stop with Judge,” the person said. “They have so much money freed up.”

  2. The thing about trying to entice a player like Judge from a team like the Yankees is that they won’t be either. Where he ends up will be entirely about destination rather than dollar amount.

  3. I remember the off-season of 2014; when we were linked to Jon Lester, and we didn’t get him, and I was fine with that, but afterwards I started taking reports of us being linked to high profile free agents and trade targets with a grain of salt

  4. First of all, this seems to have come directly from a front office member, and there is usually no front office member who will directly outline the teams plan for the offseason to a media member before the season begins. Secondly, the Giants will have a price cap that they won’t go over, and rightfully so.

All I’m saying is take this with a grain of salt and don’t believe every report you read

  5. I don’t know if it will be Judge but I do believe they know they need to make a big signing this off-season and I believe they will do so.

  6. Once again, the Giants will be used as leverage for the player to get a better deal on another team. Giants will be on the “short list”, and then lose out in the end.
