Cooks has previously said he’d rather retire than get traded again, though I believe his strictest statements were while Watson was their QB. Would be interesting if he changed his mind due to the rebuild and because a team like the Chiefs or Packers came asking.
If I’m reading this right, he’d be owed 18.5 and 16.5 the next two years.
I honestly think he gets traded in the off-season
Every stop he’s seemingly been appreciated, produced and helped with success of a team but is routinely moved for draft capital.
Cooks-related trades have netted the following (collectively): **1st Round, 1st Round, 2nd Round, 3rd Round, and a 6th Round**. Not included is the nearly 90 million he’s earned in his career.
Cooks career path has been wild.
As a cooks owner in my most important league I must say I read this news with a smile on my face
Don’t need him
That ArrowheadLive clown reporting like they’re in talks. Dude is a bigger joke than Chiefs Insider.
Better than signing OBJ. If the cost is right, the upside is so good.
Robert Quinn just got picked up by the eagles for a 4th rounder… would’ve been nice
No thank you.
I don’t believe this at all. I don’t think the Chiefs gave up picks for anybody at this point.
I wanted Cooks during the draft years ago but I want him only if his price is palatable. Stopgap receivers ensnared by Brett Veach’s black magic cap wizardry is currently working fantastically
Our WRs were really good in the 49ers game and are likely to get better. We have almost never picked up a trade that has been worth it. Our run game has improved, our defense is getting better, and our O-line is pretty good.
I’d rather see us get another pass rusher, someone who is really good at tackling, or someone who can give Patrick more time in the pocket.
After how well the WRs played on Sunday, I’m convinced adding a new one will only disrupt the chemistry Patrick is having with his receivers. He’ll instantly try to demand catches over all, except Kelce. We don’t need a diva WR on this team. Go for pass rush, especially with Frank Clark suspended for the next two games.
Edge or nothing imho
Would rather have Cameron Jordan
4th round pick and Texan pay ALL of this years cap hit. Then sure I wouldn’t might another wr3
We don’t need offense. We need edge and cb.
