  1. I know it has been harped on here in this sub a million times over but I still miss John Forslund. Hurricanes hockey, and the memories I have that made me a fan of this team, start with hearing his call of games as a kid. John and Tripp (and Chuck Kaiton) WERE hurricanes hockey. To think he could’ve been calling bruins games all these years instead is impossible to imagine.

  2. I can only imagine what the reaction would’ve been if people in the late 90s were told that the Canes would go on to play a game at Carter-Finley Stadium with such overwhelming demand for tickets. How far we’ve come…

  3. It was amazing to be an NC State student in those days. Free preseason games, college night ticket for like 5$. Upper deck goal zone? Who cares! I went to 40 or 50 games between 2000-2003.

I’d still be a fan regardless, but the success they’ve had the last couple years and the growth of the fan base is so awesome. They’ve earned it!
