Per Walt Ruff on Twitter. Rod confirmed it yesterday after practice, and remains the case today.
I think it was well known that it WAS a concussion, but had been officially listed as an upper body injury. Best guess was that it either happened in practice, or was identified in practice. That’s based on the timing of his departure from the road trip.

At this point Kase just needs to retire for his own health and potentially get a management job somewhere in hockey
