“We will see you tomorrow night” *instant chills*
Oh shit, I didn’t realize today was “Thank Nelson Cruz” day.
If you see Nelson out there, don’t forget to drop a “thank you for your service.”
Best game ever.
That Edmonds home run to get us there landed like 30 feet away from me.
That hit was the reason I got to go to game 7 with my dad as a kid, thanks Freese!
Moments like this game is why we should appreciate watching the Cardinals. No matter what we will find a way to make it into the playoffs and even if we get eliminated it’s always a fun season to watch. Aside from 2013 and 2004 ofc.
I stayed up and watched it with my son who was 14 at the time (my husband went to bed) and I still think about that moment. It was unbelievable. I still talk about that game with my son, who is 25 years old now. I bring it up when the Cardinals are trailing, and I say; “don’t ever count the Cardinals out!”
One of my favorite ever “where were you when” moments
I’ll never forget being at work and thinking it was all over. Listening on the radio and speeding to get home (I was a dumb 19 year old kid), and getting there just in time for this.
Worst moment in Rangers history. It’s out 3 if it wasn’t Cruz.
croch-chop
Now also thinking back to when the world series would be finished before november
YES, SIR!!!!!!! LET’S GO!!!!!!!!
I know Freese is the hometown hero, and obviously got the bigger hits, but I always hold Berkman in the same regard. 3 for 5 with 4 R, 3 RBI, HR, and BB. Don’t win that game without his performance either.
