Our defense has certainly sunk to start the season

1. Our defensive style is difficult and requires the guys on the court to be locked in. Plus we’re missing Rob while integrating some new guys.

   It might take time for everyone to get settled but I have faith this is just a blip.

2. We are forcing team to take ideal shots (mid range, above the break threes) but they be knocking them down .. we’ve been good at protecting the rim and that’s without Rob

   Gonna need another 10 games to determine to see if we gotta change some things imo

3. To be noted we took until December to solidify our defense last year. So it takes time to settle

4. It’s early. I think we will be a borderline top ten defense without Rob with a larger sample size. Just need to clean it up a bit.

6. I don’t think the C’s will remain a bottom 3rd defense but this is why Smart isn’t a real DPOY player.

7. It’s been 4 games. You need a notably larger sample size to draw any real conclusions from offensive/defensive/net rating.

8. Dayum.. what’s the comparison to last year at this time? Robs presence is missed but I thought it would look a little better than this.. brad might need to get another big

9. Missing Rob obviously, but I wonder if this has to do with the coaching transition.

   Too soon to blame Joe, but Ime was obsessive and in their face all the time about his defense and they might be a bit too relieved to be out from under that.

10. We will be back ruling the quadrant of wow before you know it. I promise

11. We’re 4 games into the season with a 3-1 record. Calm down, this is indicative of literally nothing

12. Until we hear that Rob will not be back for the playoffs, I’m not worried. All we need to do is get there healthy and I’m confident we can make a deep run.

13. Look beyond the stats and use the eye test. We have mostly still played elite defense. When we get Rob back it’s going to be a nightmare for opponents.
