Hopefully just a game or two like what Toews just dealt with.
Kaut, here’s your chance to stick in the majors – hopefully him and Newhook run with this
I’m actually kind of excited to see Kaut in the top 6. I want to see how he does with a strong lineup around him. He played well in the Minors but let’s see if that transitions.
Well, that’s concerning. I have little hope for Kaut, but I’ve been wrong a lot. Hopefully I am this time too.
Still have concerns about 5v5 play/production here in the early season which won’t be helped with Nichushkin out. That should sort itself out eventually with health and chemistry peaks. Dissatisfied with team defense and commitment to defend as a 5 man unit so far this season. A lot of we will just let the defensman handle the rush type of attitude by forward lines. That’s gotta change for this team to to reach its active potential. Then the defenders like cale and ej need to start closing gaps at the bluline and stop giving soft entries. Be aggressive and use skating to hound the opposing forwards, our defense shouldn’t just be aggressive in the ozone they should be looking to close time and space in the d zone more often. That is all, hope for a win tonight with val out but new jersey might outscore us tonight if we don’t get it going 5v5
Injuries are going to happen and it makes sense to be cautious with them in the regular season.
Ive always been a Kaut believer until his 4 games this year honestly. He just does nothing, he skates relatively hard for 20-30 seconds and then goes to the bench early. He can’t play at the pace the Avs play at without gassing himself.
I’d love if he proved me wrong though. I still think he has value and would be a good fit on a slower team, like LAK/DAL or something
