  1. * McCabe scored from the point.
    * Boldy responded, slipping past the D during a battle along the boards.
    * Shaw scored after Stalock over-committed to defending Steel.
    * Toews poked a puck past Fleury.
    * Roos earned his first NHL point.
    * Athanasiou beat Dumba with a filthy toe drag and scored.
    * Boldy responded, again. He was left alone on the back door.
    * Domi got an instigator, after Kane was boarded.

  2. – Another game the Hawks could have won. Scored 3 goals, gotta tighten up and hold onto leads

    – Hawks had the lead for a grand total of 39 seconds. 22 seconds (2-2) and 17 seconds (3-3) after we scored to take the lead before the Wild tied it

    – Defense looked a bit better at times, honestly felt Roos was better than Jones. He was certainly better than anyone from the Sabres game

    – Stalock had to make some godly saves again to force OT and a shootout. It was Soderblom last game. Zuccarello hit the post in OT

    – Scoring is spread throughout the roster to start the season, time to get something out of our guys defensively as well. 11 goals in three games and zero wins from those games. You have got to win some of those games if you score an average of 3.6 goals per game

    – Outshot by the Oilers 38-36 (very close), 45-26 by the Sabres (that’s bad) and 35-26 by the Wild. In these 3 losses, we’ve had some trouble getting out of our own zone and that leads to lots of shots against

  3. We might need to gift Vosters a block of wood or something to knock on. I swear this is the 3rd game in a row mentioning “the Hawks having a lead in the 3rd, let’s see if they can keep it” or something to that effect, and the opponents score immediately.

  4. Idc if we lose as long as we looked competitive and I think we accomplished that tonight. Our passing didn’t look too hot, I’d like to see some more chemistry develop on these lines, but there’s a fighting spirit on this team that we haven’t seen in a long time.
