3-9-0. We get our heads smashed in twice for all of Finland to see and he finds his own way home.
I don’t think he will be fired during this season, period.
Edit: Keep in mind the reward for this season is Bedard.
3-7 don’t let him on the plane
Seriously, it’s not the losses. It’s how they’ve looked. The coach is failing on X & Os and motivation.
I honestly don’t know. He should have been fired 5 years ago at least
I wish he was gone as of this very moment.
All star break.
He’s probably not going to get fired… He was only given a 3yr contract after torts. If anything we’ll crash and burn this season and just cut the loss next summer. Or just let the team limp on for one more season before gearing up again with new staff.
Hopefully he will be gone by Finland, if not I have serious questions regarding Jarmo’s decision making in regards to a coach
If we get demolished twice in Finland, it’s over.
As much as we would like for him to be, he probably won’t be
What approximate time does the team plane touch the ground when they return?
Plot twist: team will arrive in Helsinki and meet their new HC Jalonen at the airport.
You give him the entire season.
Your big ticket guys are locked up, your young guys are about to develop, and even if we disappoint this year we at least get to add high end talent in the draft.
You fire him after the season and go fishing for a new coach, allowing the new guy the time to implement his own system and conduct a training camp.
We’re quick to forget that this team overachieved last season. Lars is not a bad coach to the point that he’ll set back our youth—in fact, it’s the opposite. He’s a coach that’s better at developing young guys than he is properly utilizing premium talent. His entire career in coaching was spent developing players.
If we disappoint this year, take the high pick and lure in a name that sees something in the talent here.
As soon as you have a replacement in mind. It seems like a lot of people are okay with just tanking or don’t want to fire him right away because it’s a young team and there’s continuity issues. The fact is that any team can tank with anyone at the helm, and any time with a bad coach calling the shots is extra time with a bad coach influencing the team’s play and chemistry down the line. Again, the only reason he stays around at this point is because there is no other option right now.
